These Before and After Pictures of Rescued Farm Animals Will Give You Hope
A sanctuary for the lucky ones
With a 275-acre sanctuary in upstate New York, and a 26-acre sanctuary in Southern California, Farm Sanctuary is a place of peace for farm animals who have miraculously found their way from the horrors of factory farms, cruel owners, and other miseries to a home where they can experience loving care and companionship. These are a few of their stories.
Patrick
Along with his companion Delilah, Patrick spent much of his life in a small pen on a Long Island property. Both goats had severe untreated foot and leg ailments but despite complaints from neighbors, the property owners didn’t take notice until Patrick’s condition had deteriorated dramatically. At that point, they decided to ask a local hunter to come and shoot the goat. The concerned man called a nearby nature preserve to ask for advice instead, which reached out to Farm Sanctuary for help. After surgery and medications to soothe the pain that had afflicted him for his whole life, Patrick (along with his beloved Delilah and the other goats and people who love him) has developed into quite a character at Farm Sanctuary.
