Welcome to The Routine, where we ask interesting people about what they put on their bodies and their favorite vegan and cruelty-free personal care items.

This month I chatted with Jason Pabst, a 25-year-old private chef and certified health coach living in Philadelphia, PA. I’m not sure whether it was Basketball Instagram or Vegan Instagram that put Jason on my radar first. Whatever it was that brought me there, I have been following his creative culinary exploits and following his outdoor adventures on Instagram for the better part of a year now (his vegan cashew mozzarella recipe is truly unbeatable.)

As someone with a demanding work schedule who seems to be constantly on the road — we spoke while he was about an hour into a multi-hour drive—I wanted to know how he takes care of himself and the vegan products he uses.

Tenderly: What are three words you would use to describe the way you put yourself together or your personal care ethos?
