Because our love for nutritional yeast, obsession with cashew cheese, and time wasted fighting with bacon enthusiasts on social media are not the only things that set us apart from society, here are twelve emotional states that are distinct to vegans.

You know when someone else is also there, and you want to be friendly, because you feel like you might have met another vegan, but you’re not sure, so you just kind of stand there with a weird, expectant smile on your face that could be interpreted as being friendly, or but it’s most likely setting off internal stranger danger alarms, and you know you are, so you just stand there, all awkwardly?
