Please Don’t Forget the Cat Who Crawled Into a Priest’s Cassock

I strongly urge everyone, for your own good, to spend more time thinking about this

The world has been moving so fast lately that it can be difficult to remember something that happened last week, let alone three months ago. But it would be a huge mistake for us to memory-hole what is certain to have been one of the most remarkable, important, and game-changing events of this year (for cats), just because our attention spans aren’t quite what they used to be.

To refresh your memories, in the second week of May, a black cat named Leo confidently strolled into the Dean of Canterbury’s cassock during Morning Prayer as if it were the most normal thing in the world. You may or may not have noted this at the time, but I’ve been thinking about it every day since then, and I want to share with you that doing so has dramatically improved my life.
