Make Your Cat a Friendship Bracelet

Why not?

--

I came across this picture of my boy Irwin while reminiscing about our life together. Irwin was born under a friend’s house and he came to live with me when I was 25 and he was six months old. Together we went through breakups, family emergencies, a new career, and a move to and back from New York City. We preferred Austin.

He was my best friend, the most purely loving creature I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, I miss him every day, and one time I made him this friendship bracelet. He wore it for a few hours, but now I can look at it and think about how much fun we had together and how much he helped me. I recommend making a friendship bracelet for your cat (or dog, or actual human best friend). These basic instructions are perfect — you’ll just need some embroidery thread, tape, and scissors!
