It’s Wednesday, folks!

Hope you’re staying well and enjoying lots of warm and comforting meals at home ❤️ I’m dreaming about/plotting to make butternut squash soup, potato leek soup, and maybe even some vegan broccoli cheddar soup. If you have a soup you’re dreaming about right now, I am definitely not opposed to getting some recipe recommendations in my inbox!

Aside from soup recipes, here are a few things I recommend taking the time to check out this week:

  • We already knew cats need their own laptops, but did you know they ALSO need their own sewing machines? Watch this video if you don’t believe me.
  • I always appreciate illustrator Hannah Good’s monthly pep talks, but I especially connected with the one she posted for December and the end of a difficult, unpredictable, and chaotic year. Check out her IG page for more pep talks/lovely illustrations!
  • In her latest newsletter, writer and Tenderly contributor Alicia Kennedy published first-hand accounts from 14 food-service workers describing what it has been like to work through the pandemic. Definitely essential reading this week.
  • While we are not going to be able to hold all of our loved ones close through this winter, you can still go out and hug a tree, just like this gorgeous tigress in Russia.
  • Have you looked at actor James Cromwell’s Wikipedia page lately? Well, I highly advise that you do. This page is full of treasures about Cromwell’s life and journey to veganism that are sure to give you a serotonin boost.
Yes, we have “Babe: Pig In The City” in our VHS collection! An iconic film.

Sending lots of tree hugs,

Arabella
