Photos: Deb Sulzberger

Deb Sulzberger is a photographer based in Tasmania, Australia, who fell in love with photographing animals after a trip to China to work with Giant Pandas. Deb takes photos of all sorts of animals around the world, but every January, she can be found in the Bridestowe Lavender Estate in Tasmania, capturing the sheer joy on the faces of animals and their human friends as they frolic throughout the expansive purple fields.

Deb’s award-winning photographs have a whimsical, magical quality to them, as well as a sense of fun and playfulness that’s well-suited to the subject matter: Good dogs having a good time. And the occasional rabbit. Maybe a horse or two. I would recommend that anyone who cares about themselves enjoy at least 20 pictures of animals frolicking joyfully in gorgeous lavender fields per day, so these ought to be enough to tide you over until tomorrow.
