My cat Murray is an adventurous little buddy who loves to escape. Any chance he gets, he shoots out the door and sprints down the neighborhood. He is an indoor cat. We’re afraid he will never come back and since he gets distracted so easily, we think he would get himself lost pretty easily. Also, there are a lot of coyotes where we live.

However, Murray loves going outside. He loves looking out the window. We just needed to find a way to get him outside without him darting off.

We got a harness and leash for him, but it was almost impossible to get it on him. Murray is not a super cuddly cat, and he mostly prefers not to be touched. He will bite and scratch if you attempt, unless he’s in the right mood. When it came to the leash, it was hard to get him in it, and so if he didn’t like it I wasn't going to force him.

I had seen some pictures and videos on social media of cat backpacks. There were some with just a little head bubble and others with a whole clear back. Murray already loved bags and regular backpacks, so I thought he might enjoy it. I added it to my Christmas list.

To my surprise, on Christmas morning, I got the backpack! Murray was intrigued and happily got inside. We took him for a nice stroll and he seemed great, constantly looking and staring at things as we…
