In this animated comic, I want to show you what’s happening right now in Jakarta and in other places all over the world affected by climate change. 400,000 people are seeking refuge as the floodwaters rise, but you probably don’t hear about them as much as you hear about the fires in Australia.

Even as we face a global climate crisis that will no doubt eventually affect all people on earth, poverty, inequality, and white supremacy are still dominating the way we hear and process information about how the crisis is impacting people trying to survive on the planet RIGHT NOW. It’s time to wake up.
