When Gracie the puppy was only six-weeks-old, she was turned into a vet’s office in Georgia covered in maggots. The office treated her, and then enlisted the help of local animal rescue, Mostly Mutts, to find her fur-ever family.

Gracie was quickly adopted, but adapting a wheelchair for a quickly growing puppy was a difficult proposition. Her new guardian enlisted the help of a Mostly Mutts volunteer, Dylan, a 12-year-old boy with a knack for building things with legos.

Dylan built Gracie her very first wheelchair, and — with a few adaptations along the way to accommodate her puppy growth spurts — she’s been on the move ever since!
