Pantry cooking does not have to mean that one is forced into a boring life of the same meals, day in and day out, in some sort of gastronomic Groundhogs Day. But what helps with that is having a collection of powerhouse ingredients that can be used in small amounts to add huge flavor to a dish.

A spice rack or refrigerator door can start to feel dull, just as one gets bored of the same old staples in the cupboard. That doesn’t have to be the case.
