Traveling from the Nordics to Chile to Greenland, wildlife photographer Konsta Punkka has a knack for finding foxes.

“In 2017, I visited a research station in Northeast Greenland, where a family of arctic foxes were living on the side of the station,” Punkka says. “The place was 500 kilometers away from the closest inhabited place so the foxes there didn’t have any natural fear for people, making the people there and the animals live in a peaceful harmony. I spent ten days observing the arctic foxes and got some of the best photos of them that I have ever taken.”

While Punkka does photograph many other wild animals, he says that he is fascinated by foxes’ unique personalities, human-like expressions, and ability to adapt to living in many different environments.

Punkka has been photographing wildlife for almost 10 years and has been working as a professional wildlife photographer for around four years and says that his inspiration for sharing what he finds in nature has never faltered.
